Pingtung City Public Library Main Branch sits inside Millennium Park on a roughly five hectare site, and after two years of reconstruction it has been called Taiwan's most beautiful forest style library. Generous use of wood and glass fills the four floors with natural light, organized into a general reading area, a children's co reading zone, a multimedia interactive zone, and shared work spaces, plus a scenic cafe and art exhibition area. The grounds preserve an old camphor tree and many newly planted saplings, creating the sensation of walking into a green tunnel of knowledge. It is an inviting destination for families, students, and remote workers looking to read, rest, or focus.

Liang Shan Waterfall in Ma Jia Township, Pingtung County is a natural landscape trail centered on a three tiered waterfall. The path is gentle and the first tier sits only about 0.4 kilometers from the entrance, making it accessible for families, seniors, and children. Dense forest, murmuring streams, ferns, and a wide range of birds and butterflies make it a superb destination for summer cooling, hiking, and ecological observation. Although only the first tier is currently open and no entrance fee is charged, visitors can still savor the refreshing mountain atmosphere and a forest phytoncide bath.
