The trailhead is near Metropolitan Park (reachable by bus 324) and the route runs mostly along wooden boardwalks with pavilions and public restrooms, great for relaxed strolls and views where city meets mountain. From the 270-metre summit you can see Taichung's skyline and the Dadu River valley, with the Acacia trees blooming yellow in summer set against green hills—an outstanding spot for photos and views. The whole route is about a kilometre, takes roughly 30 minutes, is free to access and makes for a wonderful nature escape on the edge of the city.
