Jiankang Oasis Park in Tainan's South District is a year-round, free-access inclusive playground designed for families. Themed around a 'great ship,' the park blends Okinawan aesthetics with traditional Taiwanese boat elements to create diverse play facilities: a three-story transparent spiral slide, a 25-meter dual-track zipline, a 9-meter observation tower, a climbing wall, sandpits, a balance bike track, and an inline skating rink. The Big Fish Blessing is a free public art installation located in Anping Harbor Historical Park in Tainan's Anping District. The massive whale sculpture is constructed with a stainless steel frame and stained glass, hiding a colorful glass mosaic of Taiwan inside the body. The work doubles as an observation deck offering panoramic views of Anping Fisherman's Wharf and the harbor. By day, visitors can admire the sculpture up close; at night, illumination transforms it into a popular Instagram photo spot. The park provides parking space and is ideal for families and couples seeking a scenic stroll and photo opportunities.

The Deyang Ship Museum Park at Anping Dingqing Pier in Tainan is Taiwan's only warship museum. The decommissioned destroyer Deyang has been restored and opened to the public, allowing visitors to board and explore the vessel while viewing military equipment and themed Transformers-style photo installations. The onshore exhibition area is free to enter, making it a great destination for military enthusiasts, families, and photography lovers. The site is also conveniently located near other popular Anping attractions such as Anping Fort and Yuguang Island.

Voyager Creative Tourism Factory in Tainan's Guiren District is Taiwan's only luggage-themed tourism factory. Admission is free, and the park offers a diverse range of experiences: luggage industry exhibits, a space travel theater, interactive laser projection shows, DIY suitcase painting, a giant yacht experience, and an outdoor bubble house walkway. The spacious grounds include a large parking lot (a NT$50 cleaning fee applies, deductible with purchases over NT$500). Located near Chimei Museum, Ten Drum Culture Village, and Ayu Beef Soup, it's well-suited for a day trip or family outing.

Blueprint Cultural & Creative Park, tucked away in Lane 689 of Section 1, Ximen Road in Tainan's South District, sits right next to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan Tian Di. Originally old judicial dormitories, the complex has been revitalized by the city government into a micro creative hub that blends nostalgic architecture with contemporary art, open year-round free of charge. Colorful murals, a 3D blue-print installation, and a variety of artisan boutiques make it an engaging space for photography, browsing, DIY workshops, and sampling local snacks. Best visited in the late afternoon through evening when the lighting creates a magical atmosphere. Expect to spend about one to two hours exploring.

Zangjin Pavilion 2, located at No. 370, Sec. 2, Fuqian Road in Tainan's West Central District, was originally an immigration agency office before the city government transformed it into a fairytale castle themed around environmental education and resource recycling. Inside and out, European-style architecture meets Alice in Wonderland installations, creating a dreamlike atmosphere complete with a cat park and various children's play facilities. Admission is free, though advance reservations are required. Opening hours are 9:00-12:00 and 13:30-17:00 (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). The venue is well-suited for family photoshoots and outdoor educational activities.
