Sankeng Old Street, also known as Longtan First Street, is located in Longtan District, Taoyuan City. It is a well-preserved Qing Dynasty Hakka settlement only 104 meters long, yet rich in Hakka culture. Centered on Yongfu Temple, the street features stone lions at the temple entrance and a quaint atmosphere that draws visitors for worship and photography. The street was also a filming location for the movie David Loman, adding cultural appeal. Free parking is available at the Sankeng Natural Ecology Park lot and behind the temple, though spaces are limited so arriving early is recommended. Strolling through the narrow-entrance, wide-interior alleys, visitors experience the prosperity of a former dock market and the simplicity of everyday Hakka life.
