Linkou LOHAS Park in Linkou District is Taiwan's first MRT-car-themed inclusive playground. Divided into aviation, maritime, and MRT zones, it features a 4-meter-tall MRT carriage slide, spinning chairs, trampolines, large climbing nets, swing boats, and more — challenging yet safe for children of all ages. The sandbox uses small pebbles; bring your own digging tools. Free admission makes it an ideal holiday family outing destination.

Linshao Trail on Guanyin Mountain, Wugu District spans about 800 meters in two sections. The first 400 meters is a barrier-free wooden boardwalk — flat and suitable for young children and elderly visitors, with views overlooking Linkou Terrace and distant Guishan. The second section features a two-story spiral staircase that remains gently graded, ending near Lingyun Temple. The trail is lush with vegetation and rich in phytoncides; summer breezes keep it comfortable. The visitor center offers rest areas, water refill, and a raptor exhibit, with free parking and pavilions.

Xizhi Interstellar Playground on Changjiang Street near Xingguang Bridge is a planet-themed inclusive park for all ages. Clearly zoned from Mercury splash pool, Venus trampoline net, Saturn sandpit, Jupiter slide, Mars basketball court, Neptune fitness zone to Uranus senior zone — offering diverse play for children, families, and elderly visitors. Facilities include climbing nets, trampolines, swings, sandpits, and a skating rink, plus summer water spray fountains. Open day and night (closed Tuesdays), mostly free. Near Xingguang Bridge parking and riverside bike paths.

Qianshui Bay Beach Park in Sanzhi District is the North Coast's most popular free family beach. The crescent-shaped fine-sand beach and tidal zone let kids play in the sand, catch crabs, and observe tidal creatures. Warm waters are perfect for wading, with lifeguards on duty, foot-washing stations, restrooms, and a large paid parking lot (NT$100). Open 24 hours with walking paths, benches, sunset viewing platforms, and nearby cafes and restaurants — ideal for a full-day relaxed family beach trip.

Wulai Waterfall in Wulai District features flat, barrier-free paths suitable for all ages. From Wulai Station, take the mini train or cable car to the viewing area, enjoying mountain and river scenery along the way. A café and family-friendly restaurant near the waterfall offer resting spots. The area also boasts high-quality sodium bicarbonate hot springs — perfect for a relaxing soak after waterfall viewing, making it a top nature and leisure destination near New Taipei City.

Niugangling Trail on Guanyin Mountain, Wugu District is about 750 meters long, starting just 100 meters from the Guanyin Mountain Visitor Center. The path alternates between stone steps, wooden boardwalks, and dirt-rock stairs, with about 400 meters of continuous climbing at moderate difficulty — suitable for families and casual hikers. The latter half flattens into a wooden boardwalk with panoramic views of Taipei Basin, Tamsui River, and Keelung River. The observation deck, called 'Fire Signal Station,' dates back to the Japanese colonial era. Round trip takes about one hour. Free admission.
