EXPOCITY, located in Suita, Osaka, adjacent to Expo '70 Commemorative Park, opened in November 2015 as Western Japan's largest urban mixed-use commercial facility. The complex gathers about 300 shops and facilities including Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport EXPOCITY, NIFREL bio-experience museum (fusing aquarium and zoo), OS Ferris wheel (123 meters tall), CoLaBoNo workshop building, and ORiN theater. From boutique shopping to family entertainment in one stop, it is northern Osaka's most iconic shopping-entertainment complex.

The Duskin Museum, located at the Duskin headquarters in Yoshino-cho, Suita, opened in 2019 as the corporate museum of the well-known Japanese company Duskin. The museum showcases 60+ years of Mister Donut confectionery history, the evolution of cleaning product rental services, and Duskin's diverse businesses. Exhibits include a model of the original Mister Donut shop, Pon-de-Lion mascot evolution, confectionery tastings and the donut DIY workshop (reservation required). With free admission, it is an interesting destination for dessert fans and families to learn about Japanese business culture.

The Cup Noodles Museum Osaka Ikeda, located in Ikeda, opened in 1999 as the memorial hall for Momofuku Ando, the Nissin Foods founder who invented Chicken Ramen (1958) and Cup Noodles (1971). The museum displays Ando's invention hut 'Research House,' the history of Chicken Ramen and Cup Noodles, world noodle food culture, plus 'Chicken Ramen Factory' (hands-on experience) and 'My Cup Noodles Factory' (custom soup and toppings in a personalized cup). Admission is free with paid factory experiences, making it a popular destination for families and noodle fans to learn about Japanese invention culture.

Minoo Waterfall, located within Minoo Park in Osaka, is the only waterfall in Osaka Prefecture selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, with a drop of about 33 meters and width of about 5 meters. From Minoo Station on the Hankyu Minoo Line, the 2.7-kilometer walking trail along the Minoo River takes about 45 minutes, with Minoo's specialty 'maple leaf tempura' and cute wild monkeys along the way. The autumn foliage season is Osaka's most famous red-leaves viewing spot, with food stalls, cafes and temples lining the trail, making it a popular hiking and nature walking destination.

Katsuo-ji, located in Minoo, is a Shingon Buddhist temple founded in 627 AD, with Eleven-faced Kannon as the principal image. Famous for granting 'victory fortune,' it is called 'Temple of Victory' and has been deeply revered by warriors, athletes, students and entrepreneurs since ancient times. The grounds are filled with tens of thousands of 'victory daruma' dolls dedicated by believers. Built on a mountainside, the temple offers cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas in summer and maple foliage in autumn, making it the most mountainous spiritual power spot in northern Osaka. The autumn Maple Festival and monthly Goma prayer services are popular events.

Hirakata Park (nicknamed 'Hira-pa'), located in Hirakata, opened in 1912 as Osaka's oldest amusement park. The park features the wooden roller coaster Red Falcon, vertical-drop Beef Burger, aerial Zeus giga-coaster and other thrill rides, plus carousels and children's plazas. The Rose Garden has about 100 varieties and 4,000 rose plants, with the May and October Rose Festival as signature events. The Christmas Illumination is known as Kansai's largest, making it a classic all-weather destination for families and couples.
